Create Your Itinerary and Book Tickets in 4 Easy Steps

After you’ve had a chance to drool over our tantalising array of 2014 Festival events, it’s time to put together your game plan and book those tickets.

1. Exploring Our Online 2014 Festival Program From Your Desktop or Mobile Device

First, go to our home page at bwf.org.au and click on the Program menu, or click here to go directly to the Program page.

Next, check out the menu on the right-hand side of the Program page. This gives you four options for sorting through the various events and programs we offer this year. You can filter events by:

  • Date
  • Topic
  • Venue
  • Type

Clicking on any of these 4 filters will bring up only those events that match the specifications. You can also filter by more than one element at the same time. Note that this expands your list of events, rather than narrowing it down.

Alternatively, you can search for specific authors and/or events by typing your query into the pink search bar at the top of the program pages.

2. Checking Out the Details

To find out the location, time, date, and price of an event, just click on the box listing that event and the information will automatically pop out.

3. Building Your Festival Itinerary

Once you’ve got an idea of which events you’re interested in attending, you can follow these simple steps to create your very own personalised itinerary:

  • After choosing an event, click on the “Add to Itinerary” button. This will start building your list of events.
  • Go through each of your desired events and click “Add to Itinerary” for each one.
  • After you’ve added all your events, scroll down to the very bottom of the page where you will see thumbnail pics for each of your events.
  • You can also access your itinerary from any of our website pages, by scrolling to the bottom and clicking on the pink “Itinerary 10″ button on the left.
  • Click on the pink “Manage Itinerary” button next to the thumbnails. This will ask you to log in to Facebook to save your itinerary.
  • Once you’ve logged in to Facebook, you will be taken to a new page on our website that displays all the events on your itinerary.
  • On the right-hand side of the page, you will see options to book your tickets, or print or share your itinerary on Facebook. (*Please note that the print function can be a bit wonky at times, so if the words appear jumbled you can go in to “Book” mode and print up your list of events from there.)

4. Booking Your Tickets

You can book tickets either by clicking directly on each event on the Programs page, or, if you prefer building an itinerary first, you can book tickets by clicking on “Book My Itinerary Now” on the right-hand side of the Itinerary page. Just click on the “Book Now” button in the text box that pops up when you click on an event. This takes you directly to the ticketing website where you can secure your seats. Just don’t put it off too long–tickets to our most popular events sell quickly.

Please note that to get the “3 Session Pack” discount, you must either call BWF and book over the phone, or go to the Ticket Info page first, select the “Buy now” button under the 3-pack section, follow the prompts to “Buy now”, and then select 3 events from the list.

And that’s it–in just 4 easy steps you can create your itinerary, book tickets, and start counting down until the 2014 Festival begins!
